We can offer a wide range of activities to suit all kinds of interests, including:
- Bird watching
- The area offers the most stunning birdlife to be found anywhere. Visitors have come from all round the world and have never left disappointed. PACEBO TOURS Holidays have guided bird watching tours to spot the unique Sulawesi Hornbill and other sightings of forest and aquatic birds.
Here's an example of a two day tour we recently organized for an avid birdwatcher:
- Day 1 - A picnic lunch bird watching in the surrounding hills and rainforests.
- Day 2 - Early morning departure for Karaenta Forest National Park. Breakfast to be served on arrival, with the hope of encounters with many exotic species including:
- Black Naped Fruit Dove
- Lesser coucal
- Green Backed Kingfisher
- Blue Tailed Bee Eater
- Black Capped Oriole
- Hair Crested Drongo
- Dwarf Hornbill
then onto the coast to watch shore birds and dinner of fresh grilled fish at Kupa.

- Kayaks are available for hire and are an excellent way to explore the many inlets and small islands.
- Snorkelling
- Bring your snorkeling gear and snorkel over pure white sand and brilliant reefs of the local atolls while watching the vast array of marine life below you and no strong currents to carry you off!
- Walking Tours
- Itineries to suit all interests and levels of fitness. We'll even make you a packed lunch!
- Boat Building
- Watch traditional Bugis boat builders at work in a trade with over 500 years of history without any drawings, plans or foremen to guide them.
- Batik Printing
- Have a go at creating your own batik ceramic or fabric masterpiece following a class at Kupa Beach.
- Lunchtime Entertainment
- Kupa Beach is also a place where local entertainment is part of a lunchtime programme.
